* At 341 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over New Market,
or 7 miles east of Harry Grove Stadium, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include…
Ellicott City, Eldersburg, Mount Airy, Walkersville, Sykesville,
Oakland, New Market, Gamber, Green Valley, Linganore-Bartonsville,
Libertytown, Monrovia, Finksburg, Carrollton, Henryton, Winfield,
Louisville, Woodstock, Gaither and Poplar Springs.
Instruction: A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for northern,
central and north central Maryland.
