Description: The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of north central Kansas and northeast Kansas,
including the following areas, in north central Kansas, Clay,
Cloud, Republic, and Washington. In northeast Kansas, Brown,
Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie, and Riley.

* Through late tonight

* Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered across the area
today and diminish this evening. Additional rainfall up to two
inches with locally higher amounts can be expected. Rainfall of
this magnitude falling on saturated ground from heavy rainfall
in recent days may lead to flash flooding and rises on creeks
and rivers.
Instruction: A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
