Northeastern Greene County in east central Georgia…
Northern Taliaferro County in east central Georgia…
Wilkes County in east central Georgia…
Southern Oglethorpe County in northeastern Georgia…

* Until 300 PM EST Monday.

* At 857 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3
inches of rain have fallen since early this morning. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Washington, Crawfordville, Union Point, Tignall, Woodville, Maxeys,
Rayle, Stephens, Delhi, Newtown, Danburg, Lyneville, Carters Grove,
Jacksons Crossroads, Ficklin, Mallorysville, Lundberg, Robinson,
Norman and Metasville.
Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
