Description: At 756 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated
very heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain with rainfall
rates of 0.50 to 0.80 inches per hour will continue to
produce significant urban flash flooding, including on
roadways such as the 101 freeway and other main surface
roads.

SOURCE…Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Santa Barbara, Montecito, Carpinteria, Summerland, Hope Ranch and
Mission Canyon.
Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
