Vanderburgh County in southwestern Indiana…

* Until 300 AM CST.

* At 1145 PM CST, local law enforcement relayed that the Vanderburgh
County Highway Department has placed road barricades near the
intersections of Petersburg Road and Championship Drive, Folz and
Mesker Park, along St. Joseph Avenue, as well as street flooding
in St. Joseph, a half mile north of Mohr. There were additional
locations where water was over the roadways. Between one and a
half to near four inches of rain have fallen over Vanderburgh
County this weekend. Little if any additional rain is expected
overnight, but water will still take time to recede from flooded
areas. This flood warning will replace the Flash Flood Warning
that was in effect for Vanderburgh County until 1230 am CST this
morning.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Evansville, Melody Hill, Darmstadt and Kasson.
Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
