The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County
* Until 245 AM HST.
* At 1151 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over far northern
sections of the Big Island between Upolu Point and Waipio Valley.
Rain was falling at a rate of around 2 inches per hour. Minor
flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas can be expected. If
the heavy rain persists, a Flash Flood Warning may be needed.

Paauilo, Pololu Valley, Waipio Valley, Kohala Ranch, Hawi, Halaula,
Kamuela, Kapaau, Waimanu Valley, Honokaa and Mahukona.
Instruction: Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don’t drown.
