Event: Flood Warning
Sender Name: NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
Description: At 900 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated two to four inches of rain
had fallen across the warned area. Additional slow moving
thunderstorms have developled over central King George County which
could produce an additional inch of rain. Thus the threat for
flooding will continue.
Some locations that may experience flooding include…
Fredericksburg, King George, Dahlgren, Fairview Beach, Nanjemoy
Creek, Falmouth, Passapatanzy, Stones Corner, Rollins Fork,
Weedonville, Ninde, Lambs Creek, White Oak, Sealston, Berthaville,
Jersey, Brookfield, Shiloh, Dogue and Potomac Beach.
Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
