Southeastern Lafayette Parish in south central Louisiana…
Northwestern Iberia Parish in south central Louisiana…
Northeastern Vermilion Parish in southwestern Louisiana…
West central St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana…

* Until 115 PM CDT.

* At 939 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Four to seven inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is already occurring with several roads and streets
already flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Lafayette, Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville, Intracoastal
City, Broussard, Youngsville, Erath, Delcambre, Cade, Jefferson
Island, Coteau, Henry and Milton.

Additional rainfall amounts of one half to two inches are possible
in the warned area.
Instruction: A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
