Description: The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southwest California…
including the following…Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills in
and around the Holy Fire burn scar.

* From Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon.

* Periods of heavy showers persisting for several hours could
produce 1 to 2 inches of rain. Rainfall rates of one half inch
per hour could occur during this time.

* There is the potential of mud slides and debris flows in and
near the Holy Fire burn scar. Debris flows can happen suddenly
with little time to act. Heed the advice of local officials. In
addition, minor street flooding is possible along with the
possibility of some road closures.

Instruction: A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take
action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
