Description: The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
The island of Kauai in Kauai County

* Until 1245 PM HST.

* At 950 AM HST, radar indicated heavy downpours persisting near
Hanalei and over the interior mountains of Kauai. Radar and rain
gauges showed rainfall rates exceeding 3 inches per hour at times
over interior Kauai, and streams were beginning to show rapid
rises.

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to…
Na Pali State Park, Haena, Wainiha, Hanalei, Princeville,
Kalihiwai, and Kilauea.

Instruction: A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring in
streams, roads, and low lying areas. Move to higher ground now.

Do not cross fast flowing water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn
around, don’t drown.
