Description: At 1025 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that around 2 to 4 inches of
rain has fallen across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts
up to one inch are expected. The Mattawoman Creek at Pomonkey is at
5.8 feet and rising toward its flood stage of 7 feet. At 7 feet,
Pomfret Road begins to flood. Additional flooding is expected
elsewhere due to excess runoff from the heavier rainfall this
evening.

Waldorf, Clinton, Fort Washington, La Plata, Upper Marlboro, Andrews
Air Force Base, Camp Springs, Rosaryville, Marlton, Saint Charles,
Accokeek, Bryans Road, Brandywine, Hughesville, Baden, Morningside,
Charlotte Hall, Aquasco, Bryantown and Pomfret.

Instruction: Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
