Description: * LOCATIONS…Shoreline in the District of Columbia.

* TIDAL DEPARTURE…2 to 4 feet above normal due to fresh water
flowing down river from Little Falls.

* TIMING…The highest levels will be within several hours of high
tide. The next high tide at Southwest Waterfront is at 12:17 PM.

* IMPACTS…The unprotected area on the Southwest Waterfront at
the DC Seafood Market is expected to flood. Water is expected
to approach parts of the Hains Point Loop Road, but it will
likely be closed. Washington Harbour will begin to flood if
floodgates are not in place. More than a third of Roosevelt
Island will be covered by water and backwater flooding of Rock
Creek in Georgetown will begin. Shoreline inundation up to
three feet above ground is possible elsewhere.

Instruction: A Coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.
