Description: The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect until 5 AM EDT
Saturday. A Coastal Flood Watch has also been issued. This
Coastal Flood Watch is in effect from late tonight through Sunday
evening.

* LOCATIONS…Shoreline in the District of Columbia.

* TIDAL DEPARTURE…2 to 3 feet above normal.

* TIMING…Around the times of high tide. The next two high tides
at Southwest Waterfront are at 10:46 AM and 10:58 PM.

* IMPACTS…The unprotected area on the Southwest Waterfront at
the DC Seafood Market is expected to flood. Water is expected to
approach parts of the Hains Point Loop Road, but it will likely
be closed. Water begins to cover the boardwalk at Washington
Harbour. Shoreline inundation up to one foot above ground is
possible elsewhere.

Instruction: A Coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.

A Coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for
flooding are expected to develop. Coastal residents should be
alert for later statements or warnings, and take action to
protect property.
