Description: The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

Northern Cedar County in east central Iowa…
Southeastern Jones County in east central Iowa…

* Until 245 PM CDT.

* At 151 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Mechanicsville, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Stanwood around 200 PM CDT.
Lowden and Oxford Junction around 210 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Oxford
Mills, Massillon Park and Clarence.
