Description: * LOCATIONS…Shoreline in the District of Columbia and
Arlington County and the city of Alexandria.

* TIDAL DEPARTURE…1.5 to 2 feet above normal.

* TIMING…Around high tide. High tide at Alexandria Dock is at
9:02 PM this evening and 9:17 AM Tuesday morning. High tide at
Washington Channel is at 8:44 PM this evening and 8:59 AM
Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…This evening, water is expected to approach the curb
near the intersection of King Street and Strand Street in
Alexandria. Minor shoreline inundation up to one foot above
ground is possible elsewhere. Tuesday morning, water may
approach buildings near King Street and Union Street.
Shoreline inundation up to one foot above ground is possible
elsewhere.

Instruction: A Coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for
flooding are expected to develop. Coastal residents should be
alert for later statements or warnings, and take action to
protect property.

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
