Southwestern Graham County in northwestern Kansas…

* Until 1100 AM CDT Wednesday.

* At 1056 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding in Gove
county. Smoky Hill River and Hackberry Creek have both overflown
their banks. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. This
Flood Warning replaces the previous two Flash Flood Warnings
issued for the same area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Oakley, Quinter, Grainfield, Grinnell, Gove, Monument and Park.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 64 and
112.

Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
