The National Weather Service in Sterling Va has issued a
* Flood Watch for
The Potomac River at Point of Rocks.
* From late Tuesday night until Wednesday afternoon.
* At 09PM Monday the stage was 4.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Flood stage may be reached by Wednesday morning. Preparations for
flooding should be taken by this time.

The River flood forecast is based on the amount of precipitation
that fell Sunday into Monday. There is a potential for minor flooding
at Point of Rocks. Updated watches or warnings will be issued when
necessary.
