Event: Special Weather Statement
Sender Name: NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
Issued: 2018-01-30T02:03:22-05:00
Expires: 2018-01-30T07:00:00-05:00
Description: A period of snow is expected this morning. Snow is most likely
between 3 am and 7 am this morning across north-central and
northeastern Maryland. Snowfall accumulations around a coating to
one-half inch are expected across most areas…but up to one inch
is possible along the Mason-Dixon Line.

Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s during the
morning rush and this may cause snow to stick on paved
surfaces…resulting in slippery conditions. This could lead to
dangerous traveling conditions, multiple accidents, and extensive
delays.

If commuting early this morning, be aware of the possibility of
significant travel disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra
travel time, and consider using public transportation and telework
options.
