Southeastern Iberville Parish in southeastern Louisiana…
Southwestern East Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana…
Northwestern Assumption Parish in southeastern Louisiana…

* Until 100 PM CST

* At 1004 AM CST, gauge reports indicated showers and thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three to four
inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Baton Rouge, Plaquemine, Oak Hills Place, St. Gabriel, White
Castle, Westminster, Old Jefferson, Merrydale, Inniswold, Village
St. George, Bayou Sorrel, Shenandoah, Gardere, Carville, Pierre
Part and Brownfields.

Additional rainfall amounts of around two inches are possible in the
warned area.

Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
