Northern Cameron Parish in southwestern Louisiana…
Southwestern Jefferson Davis Parish in southwestern Louisiana…
Calcasieu Parish in southwestern Louisiana…

* Until 1130 AM CST

* At 826 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4
inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Welsh, Vinton, Iowa, Grand Lake,
Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Lake Charles Regional Airport,
Hayes, Carlyss, Hacketts Corner, Heberts Marina, Lebleu Settlement,
Edgerly, Hackberry, Thornwell, Lowry, Sweet Lake and Holmwood.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
