Description: The atmosphere will become moist and unstable ahead of a front
moving toward the islands from the northwest. These conditions
make flooding rains likely.
The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Kauai and Niihau.

* Through Wednesday afternoon.

* Heavy rain is likely ahead of a front approaching from the
northwest.

* Runoff from widespread heavy rain may cause flash flooding of
streams and flooding of streets in urban areas.

Instruction: A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Report flooding to police or civil defense officials for relay to
the National Weather Service.

This watch will be updated by 400 PM HST today or sooner.
