Description: The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Walton County in the Panhandle of Florida…

* Until 300 AM CDT

* At 1059 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Over three inches of rain have
already fallen in western Walton county and additional heavy
rainfall is moving into the area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Santa Rosa Beach, De Funiak Springs, Eglin Air Force Base, Union,
Liberty, Freeport, Paxton, Pond Creek, Oakwood Hills, Cluster
Springs, Gaskin, Portland, Alpine Heights, Villa Tasso, Darlington,
Blue Mountain Beach, De Funiak Spring Airport, Seaside, Rock Hill
and Glendale.

Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
