Description: The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Ohio and northern
West Virginia, including the following areas, in southeast
Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan,
Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In northern West Virginia,
Pleasants, Tyler, and Wood.

* Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through
the morning. Some areas within the watch have already received
around an inch of rainfall, with an additional 1 to 2 inches
expected where repetitive storms occur.

* In these localized areas fast rises on creeks and streams and
streams is expected to lead to potential flash flooding.

Instruction: A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
