Description: THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR…
MONROE COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA…
CARBON COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA…

* UNTIL 1145 PM EDT SUNDAY

* AT 539 PM EDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MULTIPLE THUNDERSTORMS
PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE POCONOS, WITH MORE STORMS HEADING
INTO THE AREA. LOCALLY UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY
FALLEN TODAY. WITH ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN MOVING
INTO THE AREA, FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE LIKELY IN THE
WARNED AREA WITH THE MOST INTENSE STORMS. IN ADDITION, THE HEAVY
RAIN WILL KNOCK DOWN LEANING, WEAK TREES IN THE REGION.
Instruction: TURN AROUND…DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS ONCE ITS NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODING.
